Academic Honesty

  • AUHSD Administrative Regulation 5131.9

Academic honesty is an expectation for all students in the Acalanes Union High School District. The purpose of this regulation is to foster a positive school climate that encourages honesty. This regulation is not intended to create a prescriptive approach to matters relating to academic dishonesty, but rather provide a range of strategies that staff may use to address incidents of academic dishonesty and support academic integrity. The District recognizes that each incident of academic dishonesty has a unique context; therefore, the District will address each incident with consideration for the most appropriate strategy, and strategies pursued will align with existing Board policy and law on grading. (Board Policy 5121) (Education Code 49066)
